Alaska Fire Season Extended

The 2019 Alaska Fire Season has been extended.  Burn Permits will now be required through September 30,2019.

A new burn ban is in place effective today, August 8, 2019.  Click on the following link for the notice from Forestry.

Burn Ban and Burn Suspension Lifted for Kenai Peninsula 7/24/19

Current and expected weather over the Kenai Peninsula has decreased fire danger.  You are allowed to burn debris but must have a permit from April 1st to August 31st.  Permits are available on line or pick one up at your local Forestry office or Fire Department.  Call the Burn Permit Advisory line before burning (907-260-4269).  Also notify your local fire department before burning.

Firefighter I Class

Firefighter I Class begins Tuesday, March 26th at 6 pm.  The class will be held at the McNeil Canyon Station ( Station 1)  – 53048 Ashwood Ave.

Calling all KESA Volunteers and families to join us for fun and good food at our Pancake Breakfast!  Gluten free and regular pancakes with all the trimmings here at Station 1.
